CHAPLAIN (Lt Col) JOSEPH A. BRANCH

Chaplain, Lt Col Joseph A. Branch is the Wing Chaplain for the 178th Wing, Springfield, OH. In
this capacity he directs, develops, and implements peacetime and wartime plans and policies
for the 178th Wing Chaplain Corps. He provides pastoral care, counseling, visitation and advice
to wing leadership on religious, moral and ethical matters. He conducts religious rites and
observances, develops, plans and executes special projects. He also represents the faith and
military communities in religious, patriotic and civic events. Chaplain Branch is endorsed by the
American Baptist Churches – USA. He has served as a Pastor, Prison Chaplain, Pastor of
Missions, Executive Minister and as an adjunct faculty member for Ohio Christian University. He
is also licensed in the state of Ohio as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor – Clinical
Supervisor and he is a Board Certified Chaplain.
